Switching to one piece main bearings

Has anybody ever swapped out two piece main bearing housings and put in the newer style ? It's a 51 A and I junked out a 52 A got a really nice crank and bearing housings . The I T Manuel says you can but doesn't say if the oil lines will work . The oil lines look different at the pump and housings .

If the housings bolt up I would make oil lines if needed. Maybe just some careful rebending of the lines or use the ones from the parts tractor ?

As i remember the oil lines are only different on the ends that go into the main brg housings

yes that is what i figured . Good thing there is lots of room to work in there . lol

The main bearing oil lines out of the 52 parts tractor will fit right in the 51.

Did your 52 A have a waterpump ?
