Well we had an equipment auction here in the North Platte area and on the block was a 1937 unstyled "A". The tractor brought $1,000 and the new owner was able to move it out almost before the auction ended. This tractor was a manual hand start with what appeared to be a very good paint job from a few years back. The tractor started easily and sounded solid and ran very smooth. The biggest point here is that all four tires were virtually brand new with no wear. The casting nipples were still intact!
The $1000 was hard to come by and I was tempted to offer $1,050 and probably would have got it. Very few bids were presented.
All I can do is cry in my beer and wonder just how much I passed up. I will try to post a couple pictures of it here.
The "M" next to it went for $2300!
