Am a loyal Deere customer and have been running compacts for many years. I have though found limitations with the loader buckets. I do a lot of trading with firm in Paducah, Ky and they carry Tomahawk equipment which is not easily found in my area of central Kentucky. Anyway I purchased several pieces the latest a 42" mini bucket. Located weld on plates from Ebay and installed.
This gives me heavy digging much like a pond scoop would do but with much better control. I call it my ditching bucket. I have a larger 66" also but it lacks the digging ability but one heck of a loader bucket. The flat bottom really is the key factor. I've also got a stump bucket which is excellent. It's a shame Deere doesn't marry with Tomahawk but they don't make this compatible for Deere. Passing on for your consideration. Best Chuck
