Rick: You've got a nice tractor with all the extras and looks like $$$$$$$$ has been spent but my question is why it has the cheap utility muffler rather than the original or the deluxe. I'm not trying to be the correct police but this takes away from the restoration....I know the large size was touchy and could break the muffler bracket. But you've got a nice looking machine...looks like the exhaust manifold and gas items are all original and also the extras on weights....best Chuck

I'll replace that very soon, the muffler was probly already on it would the oval muffler be better. Thank you for any input. Have fenders ordered and already have wide front for it.

I had 3 520's and found the standard muffler better...I think they retro fitted the 520's with the quiet 530 car type muffler but its a load on the bracket and the bracket is WELDED to the radiator which is a screwed up deal as the 620's bolt on. If you break it you'll have to remove the sheet metal and possibly screw up you paint job. The factory type muffler is about 3 times the cost of the utility model you have on tractor. It is slightly quieter "not much". The model you have is the tractor supply type. I wouldn't recommend the car type muffler unless you really want quiet which is also ok. Don't like the flapper as this is best way to break the aforementioned flange. Never could stand the bing, bing, bing, bing....just my take....best Chuck
