5045 D died while idling and wouldn't start. just grind away and not turn over(engine).Fuel ok. Filled fuel tank completely and changed fuel filter and bled the injection system. Battery checks out ok and alternator seems to be functioning. cleaned cables and ground.Now when I turn the key I get nothing at all (engine does not make a sound)but horn blows and lights work! Does anyone have any ideas what to check next? Thanx.Brad S.

I'd try and see if the engine even will turn over as in NOT locked up. Don't get too ruff with it as in pulling it as if the engine happened to get full of antifreeze ? and hydro lock you will break more stuff.

1st thing to do is check for a blown fuse. If a blown fuse is found my next guess is cold start sensor has shorted out. Unplug sensor,replace fuse & more than likely engine will start.

I believe we had to replace the cold start sender in the 5095 to get it to start.

Yes unplug the cold start sender and replace the fuse..leave the sensor unplugged you will not miss it..
