520 oil issues

Now that is a weird one ? Like the other poster said it is usually engine oil into the trans. Are you sure it is not power steering oil ? it sort of smells like gear oil ?

Just curious about how power steering oil might get into the crankcase.

One of our Model 70s "uses" power steering oil and there is no evidence of a leak on the tractor or the ground under the tractor.

The pump is on the fanshaft. So it can go into the fanshaft tube and then into the engine if the pump seals are bad.
