John Deere 2020 3 point lift capacity

Hello,
Can someone verify the lift capacity for a John Deere 2020 tractor made in 1968. I got the following from a website......

"""In 1967, the very first John Deere 2020 Tractors went out. They were produced until 1972. .... The type II 3-point hitch is very reliable, capable to lift 4498 lbs [2040 kg]. It is also worth noting that the live rear PTO runs at 540 rpms. The John Deere 2020 has a closed center hydraulics system with a 10 gal [37.9 L] capacity. The pump does the job pushing 12.4 gpm [46.9 lpm] fluids in the hydraulics system."""

4498 lbs seems awfully high. In fact, according to tractor data the 4020 only lifts 3790lbs and its a much bigger tractor.

I'm looking at buying a 3000lb no till seeder and need to know. I have a 1000lb rototiller that it lifts fine.

Thanks,

That is a misprint that has gotten spread over the internet. The JD 2020 three point lift capacity is 2400 LBS. That is what my JD condensed data book shows.

I think that a 3000 LBS. seeder will be more than you can safely lift.

That's pretty much what I figured... Thanks so much for the info... my local dealer doesn't even have that data, they say that the tractor is too old, they can't go back that far. This old tractor is bulletproof (knock on wood), it has sat in a field with no cover, for the last 5 years, and except for a dead battery and replacing the starter solenoid and the water pump and fluids, i haven't done anything to it, and it cranks right up
