John Deere G head thickness and M&W piston dimensions?

Does someone know the thickness of a styled G head? (F551R)

Also, what is the distance from the center of the wrist pin to the top of an M&W high compression piston?

My dad had the head decked around 20 years ago and can't remember by how much. I measured the head and it is 5.56" thick. I want to bore the block and put these pistons in this winter so I'm trying to see if I'll have valve clearance issues before I get too carried away.

I don’t have any dimension numbers, but from what I remember from when I straighten my unstyled G out the engine was basically a styled block, M&W pistons, block had been shaved shorter with the unstyled flat head, miserable thing to start and run, compression was too high. Pistons came within 3/8” of the deck on mine and didn’t have valve clearance issues with the flat head, I can’t imagine you having issues with the styled head.

The paper with the M&W add power piston set I have says on a styled G only use the newest head , not recommended to use a flat head
