Safe overbore on stock G

Project for the winter will be to put rings in a 47 G. I've been thinking about boring it out and I've found some .125" over pistons. I was wondering if this is too much on a stock block. It will be used for pulling and also at plow days, I don't want overheating issues. I don't want to drop thousands of dollars into this tractor but figured if I had it torn down I might as well bore it.

Most blocks will do 6 3/8 bore and some will do 6 1/2 depending on how they centered the bore originally.

I have .125 over "Hienrich" pistons in my G. However I got another block that was cracked, had it bored oversize, and sleeved. Then bored the sleeves to .125 over.

If he planned on putting rings in surely it needs a rebuild. I never just thought , hey I'm going to put in rings just for fun!!!!!!!!!!!!

.250" unless it is real rusty.

I have a stock bore A block that that has a hole rusted through.

ultrasound will be necessary if you want safe.

on a g it would be nice to have at least .150" at the very thinnest. usually .125" minimum
