wico c magneto main cover cap

Does anyone know what is going on with the housing and distributor cap for the wico c magneto? It appears to be out of stock, discontinued or unavailable from all of the suppliers I can think of. Is this part going completely obsolete or is there just a temporary lull in manufacturing? I have about 6 Cs that need rebuilt. I know the X is a more reliable mag but I have had good luck with the Cs and would like to continue keeping them in service for my self and others. Thanks

I havn't been able to order any new ones since the first of the year.
Was told the cap is obsolete, and plans to make more are vague.
I had about a dozen cores in stock back then, but they're just about all gone.
Back earlier, that parts vendor in Mass. had some for double retail price.

Don't give up until you talk with Standard Magneto of Chicago, the buyers of Wico company. When they don't have parts, there are no parts. They do run an eBay store and can be contacted there.

Lots of core mags on E Bay if you can use used ones. Some of these parts are not being made anymore.

Thank you for all the advice and leads as to where we can find these parts. I talked to the folks at Standard Magneto of Chicago and they said that the parts may not be available until sometime next spring/summer, so there may be some hope after all.

I've been told by my magneto parts supplier that the reason for the main housing not being available is that the one and only mold for producing it broke. It sounds like they may be making another, which is good news.
