I bought a replacement fuel gauge from a non-"yesterday's tractor" company (I know, shame on me) P/N JDS781. It's a 12V neg ground setup on a '68 4020 with the older 0-30 ohm sender.
The new gauge bounces like hell due to fuel slosh. Is this typical for a new gauge, is there a gauge out there that is dampened internally, or is there something I can do to de-bounce it?
Annoying as hell at 1/4 tank...it just slams the needle on the post and back and forth.
Advice?
Thanks in advance.
