Tim S, i have a 1973, pops out sometimes and grinds sometimes, is there a way to adjust it ? great tractor

She is at least 42 years old and has how many hours ? Odds are everything is worn and requires replacement .

it does not fit tight and grinds, and jumps out a lot when u can get it in, what do you think ?

The rubber cab mounts might need to be replaced. I had a similar issue.

Most likely the synchronizer is worn and needs replaced,adjustment is correct when the shifter is nicely fitting in each place in the pattern
