What's a 4320 with a Westendorf loader worth?

Went to and auction and watched this one sell. Looked like a nice tractor but a buddy of mine bought a 4520 with a cab on it cheaper.

The 4320s sell well one reason was the 540/1000 PTO option.I talked to owner of tractor in video and actually left a bid but it went higher.The loader was at least worth $2500.The 72s bring a little more and one just sold in Hopington for $31K but had HFWA.THe 2520 thru 4320 all sell about the same. Condition,tires and extras can add or subtract 50%.The big frame tractors such as 4520/4620 usually take a special buyer and even with low production numbers and power shift option. Still the unpainted lower houred originals that were well cared for are the best buy.Restored is more than paint and tires.

Was that 4320 a 71 or a 72? The auctioneer wasn't sure. I thought it was a good looking tractor.

Jeff had been looking for a 4020 but found that he could buy his 4520 cheaper and it's just as well suited for his needs.

Another buddy bought a 4010 with a loader on it a couple of months ago at an auction for $3400. It's a narrow front gas model and he says it goes through 5 gallons of gas in a big hurry. Those bigger 6 cylinder gas tractors get awful thirsty. We had a 6 cylinder gas combine that went through the fuel like it had a whirlpool in the tank and I sure noticed the difference when we traded it for a turbo diesel powered combine, even back then the fuel savings amounted to a substantial amount.

I'm surprised the auctioneer didn't sell the loader separately from the tractor.

It had a reserve of $13K so no reason to take it off.
