Hi everyone! I've been away from here for quite some time. Kids are at the age where their activities aren't conducive to my old tractor habit, so I've been spending more time at the football field than in the barn.

Kids! Love'em but they do take away personal time and add personal stress. The barn can be a sanctuary, especially if you put the kids to work there getting them dirty, greasy and skinned up. That's what I did with mine when they were old enough. A little of that and they won't bug you much. Of course, all of my kids moved as far from home as they could without crossing a national border or an ocean. I'd taught them to be independent and durned if they aren't.
