4010 LOST ALL HYDRAULICS

I have a 1963 john deere 4010, that i have been using to pull a hayrack wagon with about 20 people in it. It worked great all day, for about 7 hours, then pulling up to the drop off, i lost the brakes, power steering. After unloading the customers, i also checked the 3 point, no lift. So today I drained all the hydraulic fluid, changed the filter, checked the long sceen that is close to the filter. Fluid was very clean, sceen was clean. Filled up and started, no pressure. Cranked down the destroker valve, and then back up 3 times, no good. The input shaft for the pump is turning, I can see about 1 inch of it and it spins with the coupler. Cannot hear any pump sound at all. Not sure where to go from here. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks :(

I had that happen on my 61 4010 years ago. A small piece of debris was in the un-loader valve so it would not kick the pump back in. It rotated fine but the pistons would not come back against the cam and pump any pressure. I have a loader on my 4010 and it looked like a piece of packing jammed in the small port. How it got past the filter in the transmission for the belly pump to send it up to the front pump is beyond me.

I agree with Lumbersawyer that some foreign object could have stroke control valve blocked open. You could loosen stroke control adjusting screw under bottom of pump 2 or 3 rounds to possibly dislodge debris then re-tighten screw to see if pump would start pumping again.

There are two ports under the pump. One is a flat hex plug and one has a adjustment screw with a T handle. I don't have my manual at home right now to look it up, but, I can look tomorrow as to which is the one that unloads the pump.

I just found out that employee driving the tractor said that when he pulled up to let customers off, he put it in park, and there was a clunk,it killed the engine, but started back up. Thats when the hydraulics went out.
