Looking at a 4320

A while ago I posted that we were looking at a Oliver 2255. Passed on that machine after driving it a bit. I am going to look at a local 2 owner 4320 with just over 5k on a working tach. Tires are all 80% or better. 2nd owner has records for the last 20 years of maintenance which was done regularly. The plan is this will be our back up tractor for the 7400 as well as to be used for some fun stuff like hay rides during pick your own season as well as doing some mowing. Serial number makes it a late 1972 tractor. Has 2 sets of scv's with the levers on the side and shifter on the dash. Owner is looking for $15k.

Thanks for any help.

Just sold nice original paint 5500 hour estate tractor 80% GoodYears no cab correct fenders nice tractor $13K so not far off.Rear weights are over $100 front Weights if double stack around $400 ,Quick hitch can add $400 so a lot of variables. Make sure clutch has adjustment left.If it has a cab unless you need one they hurt the value. A good set of 4320 large fenders are hard to find. The Sound Guard cab made the earlier ones obsolete as they are just too noisy

Thanks Larry. Fender tractor but not sure how clean the fenders are yet, 1 set of rear weights on it and double stack front weights.

If it's as nice as it seems, probably worth that. I went to an auction a few years back with intentions of coming home with another 4320. (Like my other so much wanted a second). There were 2 with both around 10k hours. They had been repainted and looked like a good working tractor paint job. The one with a 158 loader sold for 17500, the one without a loader sold for 15500. I didn't buy either.
