Help on a 660 Hay Rake

I hate to be so dumb. I just inherited a John Deere model 660 Hay rake. Could someone please send me a diagram showing me how to use the handle to jack up the tow bar. It doesn't have the tow wheel. I have the handle - I just don't know how to use it. Thank you.

Not sure what jack you have. There was a jack with a flat handle
with a pin a few inches from one end. If that's what you have you
pull a pin to drop the jack. Then insert the handle pin in the highest
hole in the jack and push down til the jack pin drops into a hole.
Move the handle up a hole and repeat.
If that's not the jack you have then maybe someone else can help you.

Does your jack resemble this photo? If so follow D- instructions. BUT are you sure you have a 660 rake as that type jack isn't listed for a 660 rake? Roller(key 1) rolls on underside of jack bracket. To lower hitch one needs to put jack handle pin one hole lower in jack while pushing down on jack handle to relieve tension on spring loaded pin then pull spring loaded pin out to allow jack to move up in bracket. Lowering of rake hitch is accomplished one hole at a time. I always disliked those type jacks!

I do have a 660 rake. It is an early model according to my parts book. Thanks so much for the picture and instructions. I think I can make it work now. Regards, Randy

Thanks again. I wish that my rake had a better type of jack. I am surprised and glad that the handle is still with the rake.
