620 hydraulic pump and governor

I just brought home a 620 that has a little issue with the idle shaft between the governor and the hydraulic pump. I have not been able to get the oil lines out of the
hydraulic pump. Actually I got the smaller one out with pb blaster, but have not been able to get the other out. I am afraid of damaging the line, and was hoping if
someone out there has a suggestion on getting the oil line out. I tried a little heat, but I was afraid of damaging something else so I quit.
The idle shaft is held in place with a pin that has apparently broken and allowed the shaft to spin and wallow the hole out on the governor housing. Anybody know where a
I might be able to find a new governor housing, or a whole governor unit.I live in Utah and have checked some salvage yards but no luck yet out here in the west. Thanks
for your help.

You'll probably find that the idler gear is seized to the idler shaft. The idler shaft is drilled for lubrication, but Deere made no oil passage to it. You can easily add an external oil line while you have it apart.

If you can't find a housing then I'd find a friend with a milling machine. Likely that housing can be reclaimed and a bushing made to fit in it.
Keep soaking the line with PB blaster and take a hammer and punch and try and tap only on the heavy metal part of the line in hopes of shocking it loose. Some times a dead blow hammer and or a block of wood and try tapping in a direction to remove the line being as careful as you can not to dent the line..

I had the governor case off anyhow, so I blocked it up on the drill press and drilled it from the left side. There's a convenient dimple in the bottom of the blind hole to center your bit.

On getting the hydraulic line loose - would it help to loosen the other end of the line where it attaches at the back of the tractor? It might give you a little more wiggle.

On my 630, the idler gear seized to the shaft and sheared the keeper pin. I noticed it pretty quick and it didn't ruin the governor case, but I had to remove the governor and torch the gear to get it out. Hopefully you'll find that your governor case is not ruined.

The pictures are of a JD 50.
