3020 loader brackets

Any ideas that brackets are available to mount a JD 245 loader on a 3020? Are there any recommended after-market sources that might be cheaper than the Deere store? Can it be plumbed for a joy stick?

Any general observations about 3020 as a loader tractor? Thanks.

Lots of 3020 with # 148 loaders on them out there.
What was the 245 loader off of ? Any loader should be able to have a joystick valve plumbed up to it.

I think that a 3020 is a little weak in the front end to be a serious loader tractor. Just my 2 cents worth.

A good welding shop can make any loader fit without butchering it up. We have had a 3020 with loader for over 25 years with no problems. For 20 years it fed silage every day to the dairy herd, handled all the round bales we made and loaded all the manure on the place. At one time we kept two 3020's with loaders. I have never broken any wide fronts but did take the teeth off a rollomatic when I droped off the concrete to hard with a hi-moisture round bale on the front. Tom

Your not going to be able to buy "New" loader brackets for the JD 3020 and the JD 245 loader. That loader was never offered from the factory on the JD 3020. You would have had a JD 148 instead. Check the frame width. I am not sure on what the JD 2555 is. The JD 3020 is 20 inches wide. JD kept that dimension for years. If the frame width is the same you can easily make the loader work. You will need to make the bracket go up to the front end. The JD 2555 would have only bolted to the side frame at the front and back of the engine. Then you have the rear axle supports on the JD 245.

You can plumb the joystick in easily. There are many posts on YT showing you how with pictures.

Truthfully if your not able to make your own mounts than you would be better off buy a loader with the correct brackets cost wise. You can get a pretty good JD 148 loader in the $2500-3000 range now. Heck I have seen some go lower lately too.
