4250 wont lift 3 point

Hello
I have just found à problem with My 4250
I have plowing for several days now and now IT just not lift the plow up.
Steering works and IF I turns steering Wheel right to left several Times' IT slowly raises the plow
When i finally had the plow up i couldnt turn IT over.
Its like there is very low hydraulic pressure in the system.
The hydraulic fluid is not very hot at all
I have new oil and filter in the transmission.
And there was ni dirt in IT when i changed IT
I Know erlier when i have lift the 3 point IT have given à little noise like fr.o.m. À valve or something but when this happens its completely quiet.

Please. Does anyone know what problem IT could be?

Thanks C-J fr.o.m. Sweden

The system has a priority valve where the oil pressure enters the rockshaft on the right front of the rockshaft housing, when the system "stand by" pressure gets below 1750psi the priority valve shuts oil off to the rear end and only allows for steering and brakes. there is a stroke control valve on the under side of the front pump, it is a bit ornery to get to,,back the jam nut loose and turn the center screw down a few turns, then run the engine a bit ,,then turn that screw back up a few turns past where it was when you started, at this point you should have a gauge made up to plug into the SCV (where the cylinder hose plugs in) and check the pressure, if all is working well you can turn the screw in or out to get the gauge to read 2250psi,,if it don't work out well the stroke valve is probably stuck..

hello Tim
Thank you so much for your answer.

Is there any chance you could find a drawing or picture on those valves?
Are then mounted externally or in the transmission?

I could actually hear some kind of oil flow on the tractors left side under the cab behind the batteri IF i have My peltors on and engine running. maybe this is just oil flowing threw the filters?
This is by the way a PS transmission.

Thanks so far

Is this the right place?
Is nr 31 and 32 where i could adjust the pressure?
And 38 the stroke valve that could be stuck?

AND if the valve is stuck
Is that because dirt or metal pieces have come inside?

Here's a photo of the priority valve that Tim referred to. It's located on RH side of tractor. If you get 2250 psi stand-by pressure at frt pump but 3 pt/scv's still won't operate correctly then check this valve for being stuck closed

Hello Jim
Thanks for your answer
I tryed i today again and everything works OK
But i can feel When i raise the 3 point that ITs a little bit slower than usually.
Could this be the priority valve.
Or do you think its the valve in the pump.
IF i check the pressure in the SCV
Should the oil be cold or warm or doesnt matter?
I also noticed today that When i turn the steering wheel IT lifts the plow slower.

Thanks for answer

One will get a more accurate reading checking pressure or flow at oil operating temp. Yes a sticking priority valve could be causing slow 3 pt raising but so could low GPM flow. How long since hyd filters were changed & sump screen checked/cleaned??

hello

Oil and filter was changed about 50 hours ago.
I also cleaned the screen then but IT was almost nothing in it.
I Will try to take the priority valve apart today.

What do you think about the front pump?

Thanks
C-J
