3020 diesel

Operators Manual #OM-R34406R specifications for early model 3020,
"Shipping weight with equipment for average field service less fuel and ballast:
Diesel: Row-Crop 7399 lbs., Standard 7692 lbs.
add 330 lbs for PowerShift transmission"

That is pretty vauge, I would run your tractor across a scale and work from there. Try asking on the puller's forum. You don't see many 3020's in tractor pulls, 4020's are not much heavier.

That's kind of why I was asking. I wondered if narrow front and pressed steel wheels would get me down to 6500 lbs? I think it would based on those numbers.

d Jim Back in the day Our local pull their was a 3010w/3020 engine in it W/ turbo.Slighty (JACK-UP) he called it a 3015 .Single front tire,Rear 18-38 stamp rims, It would pull against IH-M, MM-U,And others? I think 5,500LB. Then the next night w/wide front end w/ more weight pull 7,500,+ 9500. Next night w/cast rear hubs pull 10,500 I think 12,000 He was giving a jack-up 4430 deere's a good run. @ 150'-200' ft a nice flame 1ft out of a 4" Crome stack. Rear tires spinning! I think pace tractor was 5mph. I thought that was impressive.I'll look see if I have any photos. That was good old days late 70s- early 80s. Years later someone said he put $20,000 in engine. Looking back he had to have some major work done .
