Having a persistent issue with the fuel on my 1010. Here's my symptoms:
-Gurgling noise when running. Same sound it makes when I cut off the fuel at the line and it starts to run out. The noise either goes away or is harder to distinguish at high RPM. Tractor will run like this at idle, but if I put it under load (drive around) it'll start trying to quit. A quick choke brings it back no problem.
-I can't get it to idle. It refuses to go below 1000 RPM. It'll quit on me just like i've cut the key off. Every now and then I'll get it to run at idle really randomly, it just decides to work, but it'll either go back up to 1000 rpm on it's own or quit. Really confusing.
What I've tried:
-Cleaned carb in cleaner.. Soaked for the last week and a half in some carb and coke gallon buck I got from advanced auto. Removed and blew out all the passages. Reassembled. I soaked ALL non gasket parts in the cleaner. Bolts and everything.
-Adjusted fuel load needle. Followed the instructions in the manual for adjusting. Revved up to 2400 RPM, screwed in until it started wavering. Screwed out 1 full turn. This seemed to work decently well at high RPM, but again I'm not sure because it's pretty loud.
-Adjusted governer-carb linkage. Not sure if I've done this correctly though.
One other thing I noticed. When I dissasembled the carb this time I followed the service manuals instructions, and I noticed that I seemed to be missing several jets that are supposed to be in the bottom bowl of the carb. They are not shown in the parts diagram on JDParts. I also am missing spring No. 52 in the diagram. Is the parts manual wrong or what's happening here?
I have no clue what to do next. I can't adjust the (not sure what it's called) needle that adjusts how shut the intake can be because if I try and push it all the way down while running she'll quit on me. Any thoughts?
