Finally got around to repairing my 420 hard steering problem, several weeks ago I posted that I had just traded for the tractor and that it was undriveable, some previous owner had boogered up the steering shaft coupler that attaches to the worm gear shaft, the culprit didn't know a thing about welding and had burnt the shaft coupler completely off of the steering shaft and even boogered up the shaft. Yesterday evening I got the new "shaft end coupling" in the mail, ground shaft back down and welded new end back on, readjusted the adjustment nut in steering gear box and the old 420 steers like a new tractor with no loose play, I've attached a few pics of my repair and the old shaft end that previous owner screwed up....
