A while back I stated that my John Deere 40 had a shift lever that was real sloppy. Someone suggested I change the original shift leer to a 420 tower-gated top. I did, but now it growls in reverse and 2nd gear. They are on top and bottom of each other in the tower. The other gears are quiet. What make them growl in reverse and 2nd gear. It is worse in reverse gear. Thanks for any and all help.
