Tim S.-- I hooked my flow rater inlet to the outlet of the clutch/pto valve and hooked the outlet of my rater to the inlet of the large steel line that feeds the pump. Tractor at 2000 rpms my flow is 10GPM...Screw down my needle valve and drops clear to zero flow... not even making any pressure. IT manual book says 16 gpm at 200 psi. Before testing I dropped oil and pulled screen, it was clean. Also changed filters. I'm guessing my tranny pump is weak. Also doesn't look fun to get to, I have done them on 4020s but this is the first one with a cab. Best way to RR the pump?

Okay I'm back with you on that trans pump removal. You can remove the rear cab mount bolts,3pt linkage and shifter linkage (this is because as you lift the cab it will strain the shift linkage) jack the cab up,place blocks between the cab mounts. remove rockshaft bolts/lines,(of course),,remove the rear cap on the rockshaft piston, using that cap as a template mock another cap out of 1/2" metal, weld a piece of 2" X 5'pipe to the cap in the appropriate position and a lift hook close to the cap you weld to the end of the pipe.bolt all this back onto the rockshaft, next hook you floor crane to that hook and hang one of your over weight friends on the other end of the pipe and lift the rockshaft off..I will try to find a pic of mine in use..This works...I have done it several times.
