My 17 year old helper was here today. He helped me make great progress on the 4055 cab liner plus we hoisted the seat in. I still have the right hand liner piece to put in plus the cowling piece plus the plastic corners by the door and right lower window.

Yesterday I put two of the door lining on. One to go.

Enjoy the Picture.

IIRC you are using the Fehr snap in kit? But you also made reference to gluing in some of the pieces. Does the snap in kit get glued as well?

This is 2510Paul. Yes I am using a Fehr Kit. The corner posts are snap in and the other pieces are plastic backed and glued in with a Construction Adhesive. Fehr sent me an ACE Construction Adhesive.

Both rear corner pieces snapped in perfectly. The front two corner post covers rely on Velcro strips to fasten one side of the corner post cover. I had some issues in each case but they might have been my own making.

The right-front cover has a mirror that goes over the cover. Fehr suggested a cutout, I just slit the cover where the bolts go. I felt this would look better. I ended up with a wavy, better term than wrinkled, result on the side next to the window. To solve this I put the cutout for the mirror in and I put a half inch strip of adhesive the length of the cover next to the window. This worked well.

The front left cover only had two Velcro strips with a long distance between them. The cover seemed to have a slight bow. I added a third velcro in the center. Again, in the process of putting the left-front in I got some waviness on that Velcro'd side. It is not bad. I guess I will just live with it but I am slightly disappointed. Again, it could be my inexperience.

Other than the cowling, the plastic front corner panels, and the rear cross panel (again, velcro'd in), every other piece is glued in with an ACE Construction Adhesive. I would say overall they went in well and fit well. The fit-up between the pieces was very nice.

The nice thing about the Construction Adhesive is it does not setup real fast so you can reposition the parts for awhile. The down side is as you put in adjacent pieces the first pieces may move a little so you need to keep checking placement and repeatedly press on them to make sure they are against the metal cab surfaces. I did get a little lifting of the two rear corner pieces above the 3 pt lift arms so I had to keep pushing them back down hoping the glue would finally take over.

I am having some issue with the door weather strips. The door does not close well. I have to investigate that more.

I suggest you watch the videos on the Fehr website.
