At some time in the last 60 years, my 70D must have had a standard front end, because there is one huge dowel pin sticking out of the front support (should be one on each side of the pedestal). It gets very close (actually touches) the right tire when the left one goes all the way down.
It's about 3/4" inch in diameter, and has been there a very long time. What's the best way to get it out without cracking the front support? I figure taking the nose off and using penetrating oil and a hefty punch/hammer might drive it out the bottom. It just laughs at my attempts to remove it from below.
