flywheel timing marks

Basil again, where are the flywheel timing marks on a John Deere H. And, what do they get aligned with? Thanks you,

IFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF Flywheel is on the correct crank spline and IFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF H is like A or B etc.

Left Hand Impulse (LHI) when in the 3 o clock position in line with a flat mark on side of tractor by the flywheel towards the rear is when the Left piston is at TDC. That's when the mag's impulse trips to fire the left piston at TDC. If too fast before TDC flywheel can kick back but of too slow AFTER TDC may not start as well.

IFFFFFFFFFFFF the crank to cam is in correct time the left pistons exhaust valve is just beginning to open at Left hand Exhaust

NOT an H guy so if I'm wrong the H experts can correct this

"LH IMPULSE" and a dot on the face of the flywheel. Horizontal dash on the transmission bearing cover, just behind the flywheel. See my response to dwashbeck's post below for the timing procedure.
