Used tires for JD 60, which side should I put better tread?

I am putting on a used set of 15.5 x 38s on my 60 and am wondering which side I should install the better of the two tires. One has about 80 percent tread while the other has maybe 50. For instance, when plowing the furrow wheel has better traction to begin with, while the land wheel tends to slip first. So should I give the good tread to the land wheel or the furrow wheel? Thanks,

For plowing it would be best to have the better tire on the land wheel as it will help balance out
the traction between the two sides.

Of course if you have a two-way plow this would create a lot of wheel swapping!!!
