Live PTO.......... or is it??

It's not live. To engage the pto pull the clutch lever back, move the pto lever to the other side then engage the clutch. Live pro is handy if not essential when using a pto driven implement. Your pto will stop each time you disengage the clutch to stop the tractor.

Do you have a lever at the right side of the battery box? If you do, then you do have live PTO if the small lever at the right of the shift pattern is moved to the left to engage it. The engine must be stopped to engage this small lever. If it won't engage then it's necessary to momentarily step on the starter button (with ignition switch off) to engage the PTO gears.

Ok since my tractor doesn't have live pto then does transmission, rear end housing, and the pto all run in the same fluid. I'm trying to flush all this stuff out and can't figure out where all is what and what is what from the operators manual. Please be patient. Ty

From your comments, I'm not sure of your PTO being live or non-live. You never answered about a lever at the right side of the battery box. That's the "key" to know for sure.
