Got a friend that was having his 420 repainted and someone took the SN tag off and lost it. Is the SN on a 420 Tractor anyplace other than the SN tag. This was a Tractor his father bought new and they can't find any paperwork with the SN either, Thanks

On the left front side of the motor, near the generator, there is a flat spot with a number there. The number reads verticle. You will need to take that number to your dealer and have the Territory Manager fill out the correct paperwork and Deere will issue a new tag. This number on the engine is not the same number that was on the aluminum tag.
