Throttle lever

My carb won't open up after I connect the throttle rod. Seems to be in a bind. Any suggestions. I haven't looked at it much, noticed it right before I went inside last night.

Wonder on what model of tractor that might be? Regardless, rod rubbing against something?

More information would help. Did you overhaul the carb ? Was the tractor setting awhile and the "butterfly" valve siezed ? Has the tractor been working good, then had this problem all of a sudden?

I put a kit in the carb. Tractor has been sitting for years. I don't remember working the throttle lever before I tore any of it down.

How much movement should be in the governor arm.

It's possible somethng is broke in the governor assembly and that's why it's been sitting a long time. Can you tell us anymore history on it?

I got it all back together yesterday evening. All seems to be working smoothly. Found that I need new bearing and end plate for it tho. IF I can get her purring.
