Replacing Arm Rest Cushions

Does anyone know how to replace the Hydracushion seat arm rest cushions?

I am thinking I have to start by disconnecting the metal arm supports where they are bolted to the base of the seat. The cushions have a connecting web between the two metal arm supports.

Any help would be appreciated.

Remove the armrest from the seat. Flip it over and remove the bolts for the two linkage arms. Remove the button. Old cover should slide off and new one back on.

If you didn't want go to all that trouble, you can actually do it without removing the armrests, but it's a little tricky. Here's a shortcut. Leave the armrests in place, just remove the button, pull off the old cover (cut the webbing if not broke already), cut the webbing on the new cover. Slide the new cover on and pull the webbing together underneath and stitch it or glue it back together somehow. You'd think they could incorporate a snap or some velcro on those webbing pieces to make life easier.

On the shortcut - my wife bought a tool that installs snaps from Amazon a few years ago. She installed snaps on one of these covers and it worked like a charm. She bought a cheaper tool so it was a bit tough to get the snap through the material. Once done though it worked like a charm to keep the cover from sliding around. Was driving me nuts! We mounted the controls for our arm mower so it sat right near the arm rest so the cover was constantly moving while mowing.
