I posted last night about "4055 vs 4250 turn signal parts". Ragnorok posted a great response that was spot-on.
Now the LED's. As I posted before I put LED Warning Lights from Tigerlights on this 4055 along with a new roof, $289 at All States. My turn signals are working perfectly with the LED Warning Lights. Unlike the 50 or earlier series, the 55 Series uses what Ragnorok called Performance Modules, right and left of the steering wheel shaft. The flasher function is on the Performance Module and operates an external relay. The flasher function does not depend on the impedence (resistance) of the Warning Lights so the LED's (vs incandescent) don't affect the flasher operation.
So if you have a 55 series, it looks to me like you can install LED Warning lights with confidence. By the way, the LED Tigerlights, $49, I installed in the front hood of the 4055 are pretty sweet also. Sweeter yet are the 2200 Lumen LED combination Flood/Spot lights I installed for the inside fender lights, high beam.
