JD power shift problem

JD 3020 gas power shift no 1st or 2nd gear asking for friend, been setting for 5yrs,

any ideas. Thanks for help. Thanks

First change the trans filter than try it.

Plural (filters) as Powershift has two AR75603 hyd filters. I'd also advise to check/clean hyd oil sump screen on LH side of trans case between rear hyd filter & axle housing

Without refreshing old memory.... C1 clutch problem.
Could be valves. Could be manifold rings.
Do the other speeds work properly including all reverse?

In this chart you can see that 1&2--7&8 forward and 1&2 reverse are using the C1 clutch..drive it a little in all the speeds and take note of the ones that are failing,,then compare to this chart,,it will give you an Idea of what could be going wrong..
