JD 2555 clutch replacement

Looking for openions about replacing the clutch on our tractor. What makes since, take it to the shop and pay for the work or split the tractor and do the job myself. I've split our old 2010 but have never heard how difficult the 2555 Diesel is to split. Any advice would be appreciated. I don't want to waste cash but don't want to take on a job that is unsafe for an owner to take on.

JD utility tractors aren't difficult to separate to R&R clutch. Sometimes the hyd lines can be a little contrary to remove from clutch housing. Be sure to notice which orifice of clutch housing the hyd check valve comes out of. Wedge blocks of wood between frt axle & frame to keep engine from tilting.

Yes it is one of the easiest clutches to replace,,be sure you make the correct choice on which clutch you need,, there are a couple..
