3pt hitch

A friend has a 3pt hitch assy. He said it's for an A John Deere. Looks complete except one link has the ball assy missing on the implement end of it. Paint is fair except for the link with the missing ball end. He wants to sell it. Can anyone tell what he should ask for it? Thanks.

In guess it depends if it an 800/801 hitch or some aftermarket. Aftermarket are pretty cheap 300-400 true JD 800-801 hitch complete over 600.00 Lots of people think they have a complete hitch but missing parts is a game changer. Replacement parts are extremely expensive.

I've seen a couple 801 hitches sell in ohio this summer.They had all the pieces and were taken off tractors before the farm sale. Both brought in the 400 range.
