On a Class A Charging System (Polarize BEFORE start up) if when running if you ground out the Gennys FLD post she charges then but NOT otherwise I suspect the VR is bad or not well grounded. However if no charge even with FLD grounded I suspect the genny is bad if all eose is right and shes wired correct.
