On 8/30 I posted a question regarding an 830 with professionally rebuilt generator and new voltage regulator which did not charge. I finally had time today to do as Bob and John T instructed. I put a jumper wire between A2 to F and checked voltage across A1 & A2. how does 8 volts sound? Found my problem, the professionally rebuilt $175.00 generator is not working! So Tuesday that goes straight back to the PROFESSIONAL rebuilder. And before I forget, John T, yes, I did polarize as indicated before starting the tractor. Thanks to all that responded.
