Hi guys,
Contemplating converting a 40 tractor I recently acquired to 12 volt. The starter will be fine and the regulator, light bulbs and ignition coil are fairly easy. The question is the generator. My generator guy says is not difficult to convert the generator to to 12 volt as long as he can find a set of 12 field winding's that will fit in that generator. Before I took it to him I was wondering if anyone knows if Deere used a 12 volt generator in something else that would bolt up to a 40, like maybe a 1010. I would prefer to stay with a generator for originality as opposed to converting to an alternator.
Thanks, John
