John deere un-styled L

I am in the market for a John Deere un-styled L and was wondering what everyone's opinion of them was. I am familiar with the horizontal two-cylinders and have several As, Bs, and Gs but have not been around the vertical two-cylinders. This tractor would be for show or parade and not used real heavily. I have checked out the Ridenour's and they seem to specialize in the L, so I am not too worried about parts. What might I expect to pay at auction or at private sale?
Thanks

I'm sure not up on prices but IIRC on those unstyleds you really have to watch out for "correct" parts as that will effect the value of them.
I seem to think they were selling for about twice what you see styled ones sell for. For what that's worth ?

I have a rolling chassis with a tag. You would need a Hercules NXA engine. Where are you located? Radiators are also a issue but that can be worked through. Also the clutch housings and bell housings were specific to the unstyled L. Have seen many with NXB engines and the housings with the newer cast numbers on them but, hey, whatever it takes to stay running. Neat little tractors and I actually plow our garden with my complete one in the spring and fall. Ask away and I will try to help. Steve Ridenour is an expert and great to deal with.
