I have a 430, in the middle of moving and my manuals are packed. Where do I check the trans/axle fluid and 3 point hitch fluid? I'm assuming the upper one and lower ones are fill points.

transmision oil is a pipe plug just behind the RH foot rest on axle housing. Kind of in the corner there. Should be up to plug. Hydraulic oil check it a petcock on the front of the touchomatic housing, just below the seat. Fill for it is breather cap under the seat. That is on my 430U, I am not sure if other models may have the petcock on the back of the housing.

Take a look at the [b:654c4848f0]TRANSMISSION HOUSING AND ASSOCIATED PARTS[/b:654c4848f0] diagram below.

Note the square head pipe plug (Key 19).
Take a look at the transmission filler plug on "BW" our Model 40T.

Fill to bottom of threads.
Take a look at the [b:654c4848f0]TOUCH-O-MATIC ROCKSHAFT ASSEMBLY[/b:654c4848f0] diagram below.

Note the drain cock (Key 43).
Take a look at the test cock on "BW" our Model 40T.

Open the test cock.
If oil does not drip out, then add oil at the filler cap under the seat,

Thanks, I figured that's where I added was questioning how full so that's what I was looking for. Just Hydraulic fluid in both?

On our 40T, the operator's manual recommends 5 1/2 quarts of SAE 10W for the Touch-O-Matic.
The operator's manual recommends 7 1/2 quarts of SAE 90 for the transmission.
We use GL 140 in the transmissions of all our vintage tractors.
