John Deere 4020 LP Fuel Strainer Coil

Hello! Does anyone know if there is a way to test the fuel strainer coil on a John Deere 4020 LP? The part where the wires are soldered has melted, and the strainer does not click when I turn the key on. I think it is part number AR52766.
Also, does the coil magnet have to be a certain strength, or could I just slap a strong fridge magnet on there to get me by until this issue is fixed?

Ohm Meter function on a multimeter will check the coil integrity . Energizing and de-energizing the coil with a wee bit of air pressure applied will test operation of the valve .
