I have just overhauled the engine with new main bearings ,rod bearings, new pistons 45 over. Everything has gone great thus far. My problem is my oil pressure is low. Cold around 21 psi on a numeric gauge. I didn't
do anything to oil pump during rebuild other than disassemble and clean. My pump had two washers in the relief valve. I have added 3 more and only raised pressure to 25psi. My manual says I need a working
pressure of 30 psi. Whats my next step in correcting the low pressure?

The relief valve does not maintain a minimum pressure . The relief valve opens to limit max pressure .
Oil pump side plates , body and gears may require machining to take up clearance.
We're all bearings changed and clearances checked? Was the crank main and rod journals miked or was just a set of bearings slapped in?
The cam and followers should have been sent out and trued up, they do wear.
What oil ? Straight 30 will hold more pressure than 10W-30.
As previously stated check the pressure gauge . What psi does the service manual call for ? You have the service manual ?
