Cool pics from Rantoul. Question: Will a motor out of 7700 turbo fit into a 4020 ? I bought a good running 7700T and will keep engine if its the right one other wise salvage yard.I didn't realize they have an inline pump similar to 4430 and also will the turbo work with correct plumbing? Thanks

Larry we took one out of a JD 7700 combine and installed into a 4230 tractor and starts great but burns more fuel than old engine

Yes It will fit,,but one with out a in-line pump works better, the main reason for this is the In-line pump style have poor low end power and more power than you will need for "normal" duty,,and the throttle linkage is backward, but that can be solved,,as for the turbo yes that can work out by adding a 4320 elbow and a adapter between the turbo and the elbow, the best combination is a 466/404 with the small 4230 style injector pump....

Took one out of mine old 7700 and put in a 4520, sure brought it to life. Put a 404 out of a 105 in dads old gas 4020.

With some of Tims pictures and information on the net I put in a 7700 turbo engine in my 4020 gas. What happened was the turbo exhaust houseing is to close to the hood and burns the paint.Since then I changed the exhaust manifold from a M&W late turbo kit and some different air piping works good. With the extra power cooling can be problem .
