Loader plumbing again

I am putting a loader on my 4020 and am
doing it as read on here tapping the supply
line by putting a T on the line above the
brake pedal. For the return, I would prefer
not to go the tapped filter cover and
instead T into the rock shaft return line.
My question is:
Everyone seems to tap into the lower
fitting but to do this, I am going to have
to drain all my fairly fresh perfectly good
fluid for no reason and also this fitting
won't turn unless I take the one slightly
below and to the side off first since they
will hit each other.

Why can't I Tee into the top fitting on
this same line instead? It is above the
fluid level so no draining needed and there
is nothing in the way so it should be an
easier install.
The first picture is how everyone seems to
tap in, the second poor picture is the
fitting I am considering. It is the big
return line fitting that connects to the
same fitting everyone else uses via an S-
shaped 9-10" metal line.

The main difference that I see is with the lower fitting you do not have to change the length of the line. I just plumbed my 4010 using the lower fitting, with a male pioneer on the run of the tee for removing the loader, with everything ready to go when I started I lost about a half gallon, not a big deal in my mind.

You won't lose all of the oil through that fitting as it is part of the return circuit and is isolated from the reservoir. Teeing into the top of that line at the rockshaft housing will work the same if you have room to route the hose.

Thank you. It appears the 2 hard lines are in the way to plumb to the top so now I understand why every one does it on the bottom. Just for info, Grainger has the Tee fitting for the 3/4 elbow for half the Deere price but they couldn't get it here for a couple days. If you're in the Midwest, I bought mine from Hyspeco for $23 and they had them on hand. They are in Witchita, Kansas City, St Louis Andrew other Midwest type areas.
