So trying to replace the PTO release bearing. wondering if there is an easy way to do it? Or do I need to drive out the bottom support rod, and then take the snap ring off for the spline shaft that goes to the pedal and the 4 bolts that holds the whole shaft on so I can get to the back snap ring and take the whole thing out?

It's been a long time since I looked at one but I'm thinking all one needs to do is remove cotter pin in control rod then remove rod from fork, lean fork forward to slide sleeve forward off support.

What about the collar that is on the sleeve? Just beat it off?
