JD 7700 T combine

Just got a local one owner 7700T combine has good tires and newer unloading auger and has always been shedded.Runs nice and drives and was used until he retired.We just drove it home.I will sell any parts for best offer and take rest to salvage yard.I know Tim S. is probably at Rantoul but doesn't the 7700 have the engine that will bolt in a 4020? Thanks
 
Be a shame to junk what sounds like a good machine. Bring it to Ohio several smaller guys might jump on a combine like that.

Larry: I tried calling you ( just got a woman who did not speak English ? ) and emailing thru this site on some 4020 steps you had for sale. Do you still have them ? And would they fit an early 4020 with a 158 frt loader. Still looking for a used set of the ones with many steps and hand rails. Tractor keeps getting higher up every year ?
 
Mike email or phone should work.Waiting for new phone as mine has blank screen but still takes calls and it calls out just no texting.I was thinking the 6600 or 7700 engine was the one that fit in a 4020 nicely. The turbo would be a plus if it will fit under hood.Didnt pay much as they don't sell around here but you are right it still would do the job as well as some of the newer ones.They were a good old machine.
 
So are there any aftermarket steps for early 4020 that work with a 158 loader attached ? I was reading about the new ones sold places and they don't seem to mention if they will fit ? But I'd rather buy a used set.
