I have these two gassers and I can't find the drain plug on the bottom of the gas tanks. Asked the question a couple years ago and rec. answers, but have never found the drain.

On both tractors I see the gas shutoff valve on the bottom of both tanks, but there isn't any way to drain the tank from those. Both tractors are 61's I think....

Need help---thanks

According to my memory & parts schematics there is no drain on a 4010 fuel tank.

I think the drain was added to the 3020-4020 series in 1964. Can you remove the fuel line from the shutoff valve an drain the tank through the shutoff?

No drain on a ten series. You also need to remove the fitting to drain it completely as it sticks up off the bottom a little bit. Very hard to do in the tractor and not much fun to remove a tank. If you remove the tank make plenty of reference marks as how it sets and how the air cleaner sets. Tom

I know there is no drain, because I once added antifreeze to the fuel like a idiot. It's possible to be tired and think the front cap is the coolant!!!! I had a devil of a time recovering from that brain fart.

Don't feel to bad because I had a 3020 with a radiater leak that needed fixed but I was to busy and did the same thing one night when I was overtired. I had to spend half the night draining everything because it was my loader tractor and the dairy cows needed fed the next morning.I never told anyone except the wife untill now.LOL Tom
