4010 deisel governor

Hi guys, my 4010 is not idling right, it will either die or rev itself up. I was trying to hook up a disc and it reved itself up so high I thought it would blow before I ran over and pulled the kill knob. I had a gas ford that did that once and the bearings in the governor had flat spots that had to be replaced to fix it. Is it likely a similar problem on my deere?

Your governor is inside the injection pump time for overhaul

Metering valve in inj pump is sticking
probably from debris (retainer ring particles).

Xs three, time for the injection pump to be serviced. Just did a 4020 pump last week the guy ran it so long the retainer pins were sheared off. Luckily he didn't seize the head/rotor and break the drive shaft..
